Project: Now Playing experience for the Zune PC software (UX and visual design)

The software works with Zune devices and offers the experience and discovery of music, video, and other media.
Now Playing is a unique new feature of Zune software. The experience begins while a song is playing and the user is not interacting with the screen. Photography and artist information from the database are transformed into an immersive visual experience that accompanies the audio. Unique typographic compositions, color and motion reveal the mood of each song, while evoking the Zune brand. The interface becomes interactive when a user rolls over the screen with a mouse. The visual character of Now Playing has become a major branding component for Zune.
